Bigfoot, Yeti, Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabra - Most terrifying MONSTER sightings of 2016

Some sightings have been impossible to explain and have left people terrified and scratching their heads as they try to work out what they've actually seen.

Thousands of people have poured over these clips to try and figure out a rational explanation for these strange sightings.

These famous monster appearances are so spine-tingling they have made it on to Daily Star Online's list of the most convincing monster sightings of 2016.

But be warned, these bizarre sightings will turn the blood cold.

Yeti

Two men driving through deep snow in Russia were stunned when they saw what they thought was the monstrous Yeti running across their path.

Fortunately they had their dash cam on and filmed the white figure dart in front of their car.

But even the two men were so stunned that they started to doubt their own eyes.

"I mean it could have been someone's cruel prank," the driver, Vadim Gilmanov, told local TV.

Nessie's icy cousin

Eerie footage filmed in a remote area of Alaska appeared to show a 12 to 15 foot long creature curling it's way through the water.

The footage was an online sensation and immediately sparked rumours that the photographer had captured an image of Nessie's ice cousin.

Other's brought up the rumours of the Chena Chomper, which is said to stalk the Alaskan river and has been spotted multiple times.

Bigfoot

Fantastically clear footage appeared to show a bigfoot-like creature roaming out of a cave and through a waterfall in Indonesia.

The 8 foot tall creature was so distinctive that YouTube users were quick to suggest it was an obvious Bigfoot sighting.

Startled viewers have watched the clip thousands of times, but are still not sure what they have seen.

Loch Ness Monster

A photographer claimed to have taken the clearest photo ever of the Loch Ness Monster in September.

Amazed Ian Bremner, 58, was stunned when he noticed what looked like three large humps emerging from the Scottish lake.

Many non-believers were quick to say the humps resembled three seals swimming together.

But even sceptical Ian said: "I'm starting to think there is something out there."

Gigantic Alaskan "dragon"

Terrified tourists spotted this huge sea creature surface during a glacier collapse in Alaska, US.

It appeared with seven black fin-like parts poking out of the water - sparking many to speculate a creature had been woken by the sudden movement of ice.

One person commented on the "thirdphaseofthemoon" YouTube video: "It's possible it's an ancient sea creature such from the dinosaur age."

Chupacabra

An astonishing corpse of what many believe is the mythical blood-sucking Chupacabra was found in April.

CHUPACABRA? This creature stunned locals when it was found in the mountains

Locals were terrified and live in fear of the mythical beast they believe they found in the Kazakhstani Carpathian Mountains.

Mummified remains of the creature showed rows of multiple sharp teeth locked into it's mean-looking face.

Megalodon

Nightmare footage of what many believe is a massive shark measuring at least 60 foot was filmed at the bottom of the deep and dark Mariana Trench.

It sparked terrifying rumours that the mythical Megalodon, a giant prehistoric shark, had survived extinction and still stalks the seas.

The video was watched over 10,000 times, and some tried to suggest that the size of the creature had been accidentally over-estimated.

Nessie in London

Another Nessie sighting in the River Thames earlier this year was too chilling not to include.

Nobody is able to give a confident answer for what the absolutely massive looking creature looming out of the water in April could have been.

Some suggested the monster was actually a blue whale which had got lost and swum into London - as has happened before in the past.

But other YouTube viewers suggested the creature was actually a lost Nessie.
