NASA revela el origen de la misteriosa bola de fuego que iluminó el cielo de Alabama

De acuerdo con la agencia espacial, el objeto medía 1,8 metros de diámetro y se desplazaba a 86.421 kilómetros por hora.

Una bola de fuego que este viernes cruzó el cielo en el estado de Alabama, en el sureste de EE.UU., ha sido confirmada por la NASA como un asteroide "al menos 40 veces más brillante que la luna llena".

"[El viernes] a las 12:19 CDT (05:19 UTC), numerosos testigos en el sureste informaron de que habían visto una bola de fuego muy brillante, que también fue detectada por las seis cámaras de meteoritos de la NASA en la región", afirma el comunicado de la Unidad de Investigación Meteoroide de la NASA (MRU).

Poco después la agencia espacial publicó un video que muestra al objeto brillando en el espacio.

El análisis de la NASA ha revelado que el meteorito fue visto por primera vez sobre localidad de Turkey Town, Alabama, a 93 kilómetros de altura. La bola de fuego luego se desplazó hacia el noroeste a una velocidad de 86.421 kilómetros por hora y se destruyó a aproximadamente 29 kilómetros sobre la pequeña ciudad de Grove Oak. Los primeros resultados de la investigación también muestran que el pequeño asteroide medía 1,8 metros de diámetro.

Mientras tanto, la NASA ha admitido que no están seguros de si la bola de fuego tocó tierra, pero la agencia espacial afirma que el objeto hizo que se activaran "todas las cámaras y sensores operados por la Oficina de Medio Ambiente de Meteoritos en la región".

Son múltiples las teorías acerca de si existen los extraterrestres y por qué aún no hemos contactado con ellos. Un físico teórico ruso acaba de aportar una nueva respuesta.

El hecho de que la humanidad no reciba señales de otras supuestas civilizaciones avanzadas dio lugar a la así llamada Paradoja de Fermi que expone la contradicción de que existan miles de universos que alberguen vida inteligente y que la humanidad todavía no haya sido capaz de ponerse en contacto con ellos.

Numerosos investigadores aportaron hipótesis que podrían ser la explicación de la paradoja. Así, sugerían que los alienígenas se estaban escondiendo bajo el agua o estaban muertos. O bien, que, a lo mejor, los humanos son los propios extraterrestres, que llegaron a nuestro planeta hace miles millones de años.

El físico Alexandr Berezin del Instituto de Técnica Electrónica de Moscú publicó un estudio en el que añadió otra hipótesis que podría explicar la Paradoja de Fermi.

En un principio, el científico supuso que la primera civilización que llegue a viajar por la galaxia será la que eliminará a todas las otras civilizaciones para garantizar su expansión.

Berezin indica que no es muy relevante cómo sea la vida alienígena: pueden ser organismos biológicos, una inteligencia artificial o una especie de mente con estructura de colmena de tamaño planetario.

Lo más importante reside no en el problema de cómo es dicha civilización, sino de qué manera se porta. Según la paradoja de Fermi, la civilización extraterrestre debería ser capaz de viajar por la galaxia o por lo menos mandar señales.

No obstante, para poder hacerlo, una civilización debe ser extremadamente desarrollada. Según Berezin, este desarrollo inevitablemente se vincula con el desplazamiento de las especies menos complicadas.

"No estoy sugiriendo que una civilización altamente desarrollada pudiera exterminar conscientemente a otras formas de vida. Más probablemente, lo harían sin darse cuenta, al igual que un grupo de obreros destruye un hormiguero para construir un edificio, simplemente porque carecen de cualquier estímulo para protegerlo", explica Berezin.

Es decir, una civilización bastante avanzada podría 'conquistar' la galaxia y aniquilar a sus vecinos, simplemente porque es capaz de hacerlo.

La idea más peculiar del estudio no es que los humanos estén al borde de encontrarse con una raza más civilizada, sino que podrían ser ellos la propia raza más civilizada que va eliminando otras formas de vida sin ser consciente de ello.

"Por supuesto, espero estar equivocando. La única manera de comprobarlo es seguir estudiando el universo y buscando vida extraterrestre", concluye el investigador.

¿Intentan prevenir los extraterrestres el apocalipsis nuclear?

Los aficionados a teorías conspirativas llevan tiempo sospechando que los Gobiernos del mundo llevan a cabo proyectos secretos relacionados con los ovnis. Así, las revelaciones sobre el 'programa de ovnis del Pentágono' también aportaron mucho material para las especulaciones.

Mientras tanto, un ufólogo que prefirió mantenerse en el anonimato explicó a través del sitio Alien Revelations que son los alienígenas los que pretenden hacer que los humanos dejen de usar armas nucleares, ya que a los humanos "no se nos puede confiar una fuerza tan masiva".

El autor del artículo hizo referencia a la entrevista del teniente estadounidense Robert Jacobs. Hace unos años que el militar declaró que sus jefes supuestamente le ordenaron que permaneciera en silencio con respecto al hecho de haber visto un ovni en la base aérea de Vandernberg.

Los propios jefes, por su parte, se mostraron escépticos y aseguraron que allí no había ningún objeto misterioso. Sin embargo, los expertos en ufología indican que junto a las instalaciones nucleares suelen aparecen objetos voladores.

"Esto ocurrió en marzo de 1967 en la base en la que se almacenaba una gran cantidad de armamento nuclear. Allí los testigos vieron un ovni rojo brillante volando justo encima de la entrada principal. Una vez pasado esto, todos los misiles se desactivaron y quedaron rotos", según afirmaban los testigos.

El ufólogo indicó que no es sorprendente que los extraterrestres intentaran prevenir un fin del mundo impidiendo que la humanidad lleve a cabo pruebas nucleares.

"Observamos que los extraterrestres muestran mucho interés por las instalaciones donde se produce equipamiento nuclear. Un par de armas nucleares que mandamos al espacio acabaron destruyéndose por los alienígenas. A finales de los 70 y principios de los 80 intentamos colocar un elemento nuclear en la Luna y explotarlo con fines científicos. Ellos destruyeron el arma antes de que la trasladáramos al satélite", explicaban.

Por muy numerosas que sean las teorías conspiratorias, la agencia espacial NASA siempre ha rechazado la existencia de vida extraterrestre.

"La única forma de vida que conocemos es la de la Tierra. La NASA siempre está buscando otra vida, y en cuanto la encontremos, se lo diremos", afirmó Paul Hertz, director de la División de Astrofísica de la NASA.

Científicos de SETI desarrollan una lengua para comunicarse con alienígenas

Diversos expertos sugieren que el idioma que empleen los extraterrestres podría no ser tan diferente del modo en que nos expresamos los humanos.

El pasado 26 de mayo, prominentes astrónomos y lingüistas discutieron cómo sería la lengua de los alienígenas y el modo en que podríamos comunicarnos con ellos durante la Conferencia internacional para el Desarrollo del Espacio que se celebró en Los Ángeles (California, Estados Unidos), informa el portal CNET.

Especialistas como Noam Chomskyargumentaron que todas lenguas de la Tierra comparten "una gramática universal" de origen y algunos se mostraron optimistas en cuanto a que esa 'conexión interna' también se podría extender a idiomas extraterrestres.

Douglas Vakoch, presidente del programa de Mensajes a Extraterrestres Inteligentes del SETI, recordó que el propio Chomsky "a menudo ha dicho que si un marciano visitara la Tierra, pensaría que todos hablamos dialectos de un mismo idioma".

Una idea revolucionaria

De hecho, los lingüistas estadounidenses Bridget Samuels y Jeffrey Punske argumentaron que factores científicos universales como las leyes de la Física, podrían ayudar a 'hackear' la lengua de los alienígenas.

Por ejemplo, "no hay muchas formas en que se puede transmitir una señal, particularmente a grandes distancias", según explicaron varios investigadores en un correo electrónico a CNET tras el evento.

Además, sería lógico que los lenguajes extraterrestres consistan en "construir bloques que se puedan combinar para crear significados más complejos", añadieron esos científicos.

Mensajes comprensibles

Of Aliens and Anomalies: Stephen Greer’s Latest “Alien” Find

In 1975, Robert K. G. Temple authored the first authoritative manuscript on what has become known, sharing the title of his book, as “The Sirius Mystery,” in reference to the unexplained methodology Africa’s ancient Dogon tribe had employed to solve an interstellar mystery.

The story goes that the Dogon had somehow possessed knowledge of Sirius B, a white dwarf companion to the star known as Sirius A, long before modern astronomers had confirmed the existence of a smaller star which is, curiously, invisible without the aid of telescopes.

However, more recently the term “Sirius” in relation to ancient astronaut and UFO mysteries has been a hot word in relation to an upcoming documentary produced by Dr. Stephen Greer of the Disclosure Project. According to Greer, the film will not only deal with the important global economic issues of today as they relate to the UFO enigma (and of course, from an exopolitical standpoint), but the film is also alleged to reveal new information about a small, mummified humanoid which Greer says, rather hopefully, may indeed prove the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Late last year, Greer noted publicly that he and his colleagues “traveled to the country that is now home to this small possible ET body and were able to successfully obtain extensive X-Ray and CT Scans of the entire body. We were also able to obtain DNA samples under sterile, surgical conditions. These DNA samples are now being studied by one of the world’s top geneticists.” According to Greer, X-Ray and CT scans of the small anomalous mummy appear to reveal that its organs, such as lungs and possibly a heart, can be seen in addition to a fully intact skeleton.

So will this discovery prove, once and for all, that extraterrestrials have visited planet Earth? Maybe that’s just a bit of a stretch… and here’s why: even in the event that the creature in question were found to be a specimen of some creature other than a human being, or possibly an early human ancestor, this still does not prove that the body belonged to anything extraterrestrial. If anything, it more strongly suggests by its “alien” appearance that there could potentially be (or at very least, perhaps there once were) non-human entities in existence here on Earth, and beings which also were much smaller than modern day humans.

This in itself is exciting, since it may suggest that there is far more to planet Earth than we can presently account for in terms of the varieties of life that have existed here over the last several hundreds of thousands of years. In a recent article on the subject, I also noted that Greer’s “alien”, rather than being a one-of-a-kind discovery, actually may represent one example in a much longer lineage of “alien dwarf” discoveries; similar discoveries in modern times have occurred dating back to the 1930s, though in almost every case, the origin of the alleged “alien” body has been somewhat questionable.

Perhaps Greer will prove us wrong… but much like the quandary that arises with regard to appending an “extraterrestrial” origin to all instances of UFO phenomenon, we should be careful with how we define any similar anomalies… just because something looks “alien”, does not mean that it actually came from outer space!

"Mars' Scientist Accuses NASA Curiosity Team of Cover Up of Alien-Life Discovery"

The scientist says he'll 'prove NASA cover-up over alien life on Mars' with bombshell report which he claims proves NASA has covered up evidence of alien life on Mars. Dr Barry DiGregorio said the agency's space explorer - dubbed Curiosity - has images of what may be trace fossils. DiGregorio is author of Mars The Living Planet and The Microbes of Mars, both support the data provided by the 1976 Viking biology experiment known as the Labeled Release experiment designed by Gilbert V. Levin. These books conclude that Levin's Mars LR experimensts were the first to discover evidence for microbial activity in the soil of Mars.

Star-shaped and swallowtail-shaped tiny, dark bumps in fine-layered bright bedrock of a Martian ridge are drawing close inspection by NASA's Curiosity Mars rover.

This set of shapes looks familiar to geologists who have studied gypsum crystals formed in drying lakes on Earth, but Curiosity's science team is considering multiple possibilities for the origin of these features on "Vera Rubin Ridge" on Mars.

One uncertainty the rover's inspection may resolve is the timing of when the crystal-shaped features formed, relative to when layers of sediment accumulated around them. Another is whether the original mineral that crystallized into these shapes remains in them or was subsequently dissolved away and replaced by something else. Answers may point to evidence of a drying lake or to groundwater that flowed through the sediment after it became cemented into rock.

The rover team also is investigating other clues on the same area to learn more about the Red Planet's history. These include stick-shaped features the size of rice grains, mineral veins with both bright and dark zones, color variations in the bedrock, smoothly horizontal laminations that vary more than tenfold in thickness of individual layers, and more than fourfold variation in the iron content of local rock targets examined by the rover.

"There's just a treasure trove of interesting targets concentrated in this one area," said Curiosity Project Scientist Ashwin Vasavada of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California. "Each is a clue, and the more clues, the better. It's going to be fun figuring out what it all means."

Vera Rubin Ridge stands out as an erosion-resistant band on the north slope of lower Mount Sharp inside Gale Crater. It was a planned destination for Curiosity even before the rover's 2012 landing on the crater floor near the mountain. The rover began climbing the ridge about five months ago and has now reached the uphill, southern edge. Some features here might be related to a transition to the next destination area uphill, which is called the "Clay Unit" because of clay minerals detected from orbit.

The team drove the rover to a site called "Jura" in mid-January to examine an area where - even in images from orbit - the bedrock is noticeably pale and gray, compared to the red, hematite-bearing bedrock forming most of Vera Rubin Ridge.

"These tiny 'V' shapes really caught our attention, but they were not at all the reason we went to that rock," said Curiosity science-team member Abigail Fraeman of JPL. "We were looking at the color change from one area to another. We were lucky to see the crystals. They're so tiny, you don't see them until you're right on them."

The features are about the size of a sesame seed. Some are single elongated crystals. Commonly, two or more coalesce into V-shaped "swallowtails" or more complex "lark's foot" or star configurations. "These shapes are characteristic of gypsum crystals," said Sanjeev Gupta, a Curiosity science-team member at Imperial College, London, who has studied such crystals in rocks of Scotland. Gypsum is a form of calcium sulfate. "These can form when salts become concentrated in water, such as in an evaporating lake."

DiGregorio, from University of Buckingham, an expert is ichnology - a science which combines the study of dissolution cavities left behind by organisms along with their tracks, trails and burrows, said: "They look remarkably similar to Ordovician trace fossils I have studied and photographed here on Earth. "If not trace fossils, what other geological explanations will NASA come up with?" He says the trace fossils represent signs of "soft bodies creatures" which once roamed the Red Planet.

DiGregorio has now accused NASA of a cover up and said the space agency could be witholding information due to its plans to send humans to Mars in the 2030s. He told Daily Star Online: "Put it this way, these images, these figures, have not been seen on Mars to date. "One of the things that grabbed me immediately was the expediency that NASA left the area of such a mission. So when I started looking, it wasn't just the objects that were attached the outside, what they are calling sticks.

"If you look at the images more closely, the sticks merge into the host rock, this actually has features in it that are reminiscent of trace fossils.

The Nazca mummies with reptile skin and strange skulls are aliens who had walked the earth, say some scientists

A group of scientists working on the project says tests show that Nazca's alien mummies are not the hoaxes some have claimed they are.

The aliens, whose 1,700-year-old mummies were discovered in a secret tomb in Nazca, Peru, could have rubbed shoulders with humans once, some scientists have claimed.

The mummified aliens — humanoids with three-fingers and three-toes — were discovered last June by Mexican UFOlogist Jaime Maussan.

The assumptions made by the scientists working on the project to prove that aliens have visited our ancient ancestors, if true, could change the scientific views on alien civilizations and their contacts with Earth.

The creatures are believed to have walked on Earth once upon a time. Three of these alien mummies are of short humanoids with alien-like heads, three fingers, three toes and reptilian skin.

Results of the CAT scans of these "alien" mummies were analyzed by Dr Raymundo Salas Alfaro, a Peruvian radiologist, who put his reputation at stake to work on the project.

"Each of three small specimens has been analyzed, and the bone density belongs to that of a living being. The preservation is amazing, it is really surprising, especially the bone parts of these small creatures," Express quoted Alfaro as saying.

"You see that, the base of the skull has its own characteristics. We can scientifically prove the skull of these creatures has a cranial cavity similar to humans, but they have some strong differences," he explained about photos he had of the aliens. IBT India could not get access to those photos.

"Look, the cranial vault and part of the brain — this is the base of the skull of this specimen. This is the neck and the backbone these are the collar bones and the thoracic cavity. Here another image you see the soft tissue — a big surprise about these small creatures," he explained further.

Alfaro concluded by saying that these mummies were really of extraterrestrial beings.

Another scientist, Dr Konstantin Korotkov, who is based out of Russia and is a part of this research project, also made some bold claims.

Korotkov, who is the deputy director of Saint-Petersburg Federal Research Institute of Physical Culture in Russia, analyzed the larger mummy, named Maria.

"In our research with Maria we have had several steps.The first step was to prove it was real and not plastic, not paper," Korotkov was quoted by Express as saying.

"Next, that it was ancient. We did carbon dating and did analysis on the structure of the body. The CAT scan has proven it was a real body. What about the three fingers and three toes? Maybe this is not real and is attached somehow." 

But he said the tests revealed that the feet and hands of the alien mummy had the same chemical composition as well as the same DNA and they belonged to the same age.

"There is no doubt the three fingers and three toes belong to this body. So it was proven that it is real," Korotkov said. Alfaro too said that the body of Maria is indeed that of an alien.

The discovery of these alien mummies was described as "world changing" by Jamie Mausaan, a Mexican journalist who is also a part of the research team.

"We can prove we have two different types of beings — one human-sized, and virtually the same except the head, hands and feet; and the other completely different, more like a reptile," Mausaan was quoted by Express as saying.

"We have reptile-like skin. We will take new CAT scans and X-rays to find out the reality of this finding. If they can be proved to be real we have six bodies of the same kind — enough evidence to consider this case real," he said.

Previously, this finding was believed to be a hoax by various mainstream scientists and archeologists. Scientists and researchers speculated the corpsesto be made up of mummified human remains from the area which had been dug up. An official inquiry was demanded by them to reveal whether any archeological crimes were committed in this case or not, a report by Express said.

The Peruvian World Congress on Mummy Studies also believed these alien corpses to be a hoax.

These corpses were then examined by a cohort of researchers working with Gaia.com — a conspiracy website — which led to a shocking claim that these mummies were indeed of aliens.

These extraterrestrial mummies were described as real "non-human beings" by Dr Edson Vivanco, a skeletal specialist who was a part of a research team investigating the corpses.

"There are lots of details that indicate that the bodies are real. To recreate a skull with these characteristics is a very difficult task," Vivanco said.

A pesar de que consideraban mínimas las posibilidades de que el Oumuamua tuviese un origen artificial, los científicos decidieron observarlo para despejar dudas, puesto que su forma alargada y tono rojizo no es habitual, ya que los cometas presentan una forma redondeada.

"No queremos ser sensacionalistas de ninguna manera, y somos muy realistas sobre las posibilidades de que esto sea artificial", afirmó a la revista Scientific American el financiador del proyecto, el multimillonario ruso Yuri Milner.

Además el telescopio acumuló 90 TB de datos durante una observación de 2 horas del Oumuamua. Aunque de momento no se han encontrado señales artificiales, el análisis de los datos obtenidos durante la observación no está completo.

NASA tracked the 10inch-wide meteor some 35 miles west of Naples where it crash landed into the Gulf.

The non-profit American Meteor Society (AMS) also reviewed over 55 witness reports from locals who were caught off-guard by the meteor.

Ryan Cooper, who saw the meteor over West Palmetto, said: “It looked like the second video but 10 times closer! It was an amazing site for sure.

There are extraterrestrials that come from Andromeda, and ones that live on one of Saturn's moons. A series of geoglyphs, the large design on the ground depicts many different animals and creatures such as fish, monkeys and even human-like figures.

They are located 400km south of the Peruvian capital, Lima, and were believed to have been drawn by the Nazca civilisation which inhabited Peru from around 500BC to 200BC.

There are believed to be over 800 straight lines, 300 geometric designs and 70 animal and plant designs – some of which are up to 370 metres long.

These alien mummies were unearthed in June this year. According to ancient alien believers, this is one of the most crucial finding of the 21^st century but many scientists and others accused this to be a hoax.

Initially, Nigel Watson, a British UFO researcher had accused Maussan of coming up with a money-making stunt and he even said that it is 110 percent fake, a report by Inquisitr revealed.

Even the World Congress of Mummy Studies claimed this finding to be fake.

"Right now, we are studying the evidence. And so far, we haven't found anything to say it is a fraud, or that the bodies have been modified or altered in any way. We have lots of evidence that sets us on the path to prove that this is real," Vivanco.

"For example, regarding the internal structure of the skull we can find the parietal sutures, occipital sutures, frontal sutures, and other anatomical characteristics that indicate it's a real skull," he added.

The bodies, which included a three-fingered corpse, were reportedly found in a tomb near the Nazca Lines in southern Peru, and it was thought by some researchers they could be a newly undiscovered species or even aliens.

Scientists were unable to get DNA codes from some of the samples sent for analysis, however DNA types were confirmed for a three-fingered hand, and from a brain tissue sample.

However, in a blow to people hoping for proof of alien visitations of Earth, the samples were concluded to be a 100 percent match to human DNA.

Both the hand and brain tissue were found to come from a male homo sapien, according to a report from Paleo DNA laboratory at Lakehead University, Ontario, Canada, now available online.

It said: "The evidence suggests the source of DNA from the biological material from the cranial brain and the bone extracted from the hand belongs to homo sapiens (humans)."

Conspiracy theory website Gaia.com ran a series of videos which claimed the bodies had been found in a tomb near the Nazca Lines in southern Peru, and it was thought they could be a newly undiscovered species or even alien.

The bodies were carbon dated to between 245 to 410 AD, but genuine scientists believe they have been created to look like aliens using the "grave-robbed" mummified remains of anciently-buried humans.

The organisers of the ninth annual World Congress on Mummy Studies, which took place in Lima, Peru, last August, issued an angry call on Facebook for an official inquiry into whether archaeological crimes have been committed.

The congress brings together world experts in mummies and skeletons in a new location each year.

Under the heading ‘The Fraud of Extraterrestrial Mummies’, translated from Spanish, the congress said it believed real human mummified remains had been mutated and re-arranged to create bogus alien-looking creatures.

Commenting on the DNA results, British UFO investigator Nigel Watson said: "It shows it has a male human skull and hands. Another fake bites the dust."

However, Gaia.com has since released a further video suggesting it could be a being closely related to humans and still from outer space.

Dr Konstantin Korotkov, who is working with Gaia.com on the project, and claims to have previously photographed a soul leaving a human body, suggested in the video they may only be related to human DNA.

He said: "From the first DNA analysis, it was proven it’s not chimpanzee, it’s not monkey, but it’s human-like DNA.

"Because we know that now we have three types of human like creatures. It is Neanderthals, Cro-Magnon like ourselves, and Denisovan.

"Now, at next level, they have to make much more detailed analysis, and much more complicated analysis, so they will create a library of genes, and then they will be able to compare it with database of human subjects.

"Then, we’ll see whether it is exactly human like, or it is little bit different.”

The team said early DNA results of another mummy, named “Maria”, show she is female, and that carbon dating samples from the body matched the hand making manipulation of body parts unlikely.

Mexican journalist Jaime Maussan, who is also working with Gaia.com, said they were now testing smaller reptilian looking bodies.

He said: “They are very very similar. It is like a reptile skin, a snake skin.

"It proves we have two types of beings.

"If we can prove they are real we would have six bodies - enough evidence to say this case is real."

Dr Raymundo Salas Alfaro, a radiologist from Peru, said in the video: "We are scientifically proving that this body is a real body, that was once alive.

"For example, here we have the teeth from the upper arch, and here are the ones from the lower arch. The skull with the remains of brain mass, this part here shows the lungs at the side. "This is the heart, with the bronchus, and the great vessels, lungs at both sides.

"This is still the heart, and here are the four cavities, and the bronchi that are preserved.”

Writing about the case on conspiracy theory website Collective-evolution.com, Arjun Walia said: "'Human-Like DNA'- what does that even mean?

"After all, humans share 50 percent of their DNA with a banana, approximately 80 percent with dogs, and 99 percent with chimpanzees.

"In reality, our genomes differ in many ways, but the numbers seem to imply something else.

"The point I am trying to make is, with regards to my research into the extraterrestrial phenomenon, the common factor is humanoid."

Gaia.com ended the video saying further DNA screening would take place.

En 1995 el mundo vio una grabación de la presunta autopsia realizada a un extraterrestre en 1947, año en el que tuvo lugar el famoso incidente en la ciudad de Roswell (Nuevo México, EE.UU.) tras la supuesta caída de un ovni.

El productor británico Spyros Melaris reveló en un 'show' celebrado el pasado 24 de septiembre en el teatro Leicester Square Theater en Londres que él estuvo detrás del rodaje del video en blanco y negro que fue hecho en 1995, en vez de 1947, informa el diario 'Daily Mail'.

Según Melaris, la grabación habría sido fabricada, y realizada en un apartamento en plena capital británica. El 'cadáver' del extraterrestre fue creado por el escultor John Humphreys, un experto en efectos especiales que también participó en el rodaje de la mítica serie de la BBC 'Doctor Who' ('Doctor Misterio').

De hecho, el productor logró conseguir los uniformes de cirujanos e instrumentos médicos de los años 1940con la ayuda de los proveedores de utilerías en el Reino Unido y EE.UU. El papel de los dos 'forenses estatales' que aparecen en el video, fue desempeñado exitosamente por el hermano de Melaris y su entonces novia.

En cuanto a la 'autopsia', el productor ha confesado que en la película se utilizaron los órganos de vacas y corderos de una carnicería local. En cuanto al cerebro del 'alienígena', los creadores hasta habían considerado usar mermelada de frambuesa, pero desistieron, ya que era "demasiado oscura".

'Pistola humeante'

Otro detalle clave está en la película fotográfica usada en la grabación, y las maniobras realizadas que la hicieron pasar por auténtica. La película de 16 milímetros fue empalmada sobre un nodo original de la compañía británica Pathe que muestra un partido de béisbol en un colegio en Roswell en 1947. La medida fue tomada para convencer a los expertos de la compañía Kodak de la veracidad del video.

No es la única explicación sugerida acerca del origen del video. Según el diario, esta revelación llega después de que el músico británico Ray Santilli hubiese hecho una fortuna al declarar que el video de la autopsia fue grabado por un oficial militar estadounidense en 1947, tras el caso Roswell.

Melaris ha revelado que lo había hecho a modo de "broma", pero luego "aprendió la lección" y siente "arrepentimiento". Con la esperanza de poder comunicarse con extraterrestres, los científicos enviarán mensajes a planetas potencialmente habitables el próximo año.

En lugar de esperar el contacto por parte de los extraterrestres con la raza humana, los expertos de la organización sin fines de lucro METI (Envío de Mensajes a Inteligencia Extraterrestre), localizada en San Francisco (EE.UU.), han decidido adelantarse y enviar señales al espacio. 

Según el presidente de METI, Douglas Vakoch, "si queremos iniciar un intercambio a lo largo de muchas generaciones, necesitamos aprender y compartir información".

Vakoch también habló de la necesidad de enviar señales al universo en una entrevista el año pasado con la revista 'Forbes': "Es demasiado tarde para ocultarnos en el universo, por lo que debemos decidir cómo queremos vernos representados. Los extraterrestres pueden estar esperando una señal de que estamos listos para empezar a hablar".

METI fijará su objetivo en estrellas que se encuentren cercanas a planetas con zonas habitables. El radiotelescopio del Observatorio de Arecibo, en Puerto Rico, ya realizó algo similar en 1974. Los dígitos binarios que se obtuvieron revelaron algunos detalles sobre nuestro sistema solar, las especies humanas y la bioquímica de la Tierra.

En una entrevista con el portal CNET, Vakoch relató: "Algunos de los mensajes más destacados del pasado han tratado de encubrirlo todo; ahora estamos tomando el enfoque opuesto. En vez de tratar de comunicarnos de manera general, nos estamos centrando en cosas muy concretas".

Por último, Vakoch sugirió que deberíamos incluir unas instrucciones manuales para que los extraterrestres puedan decodificar nuestros mensajes más fácilmente. Pero decidir el contenido del mensaje no ha sido nada sencillo. "Hay un montón de supuestos ocultos en las formas que retratan objetos tridimensionales en superficies bidimensionales", explicó.

Algunos científicos, no obstante, creen que nos deberíamos abstener de entrar en contacto con el mundo exterior. Lucianne Walkowicz, una astrofísica del Planetario de Adler en Chicago, dijo a Noticias NBC a principios de año que establecer contacto podría ser catastrófico para la raza humana.

"Existe la posibilidad de que si contactamos con ellos de manera reiterada con la intención de conseguir su atención, tengan en mente realizar acciones negativas contra la humanidad", afirmó Walkowicz. "Sin embargo, también puede ser posible que se obtengan grandes beneficios. O bien ello sería el fin de la vida en la Tierra o bien supondría un aumento de la calidad de vida en nuestro planeta. Por desgracia no tenemos manera de saberlo", admitió.

Por su parte, el profesor Stephen Hawking cree que si los extraterrestres descubren la Tierra, es muy probable que quieran conquistar y colonizar el planeta: "Si los extraterrestres nos visitan, el resultado podría ser muy similar a cuando Colón desembarcó en América, algo que no resultó beneficioso para los nativos americanos".
